Here at Autogate Systems LTD it is our obligation to keep all our customers informed of all current legislation regarding safe operation and maintenance of access control equipment.
There are several documents covering all aspects of safety however we have tried to highlight below the main obligations required by the end user/customer of automated equipment to ensure legal compliance.
In accordance with the British Standards, Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations, it is a requirement that the end user/customer of all industrial doors and automated systems shall establish a full documented maintenance regime in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
It is also a requirement of British Standards (BS 12453) superseded by European Community Directive (EN 12453), that a bi-annual service of safety systems be carried out by a competent body from the point of installation/commissioning and hand over.
Autogate Systems LTD provide full maintenance cover on all makes of equipment including bi-annual safety checks (see attached Maintenance Schedule) with a report being left on site for your records. This is backed up by our call out facility where we can either repair faulty/damaged equipment or assess and provide a detailed quotation for budget purposes.
